Digital marketing is a general term  used for  targeted, measurable, and interactive marketing of products or services using digital technologies to reach and convert leads into customers and retain them.The key objective is to promote brands, build preference, engage with customers and increase sales through various methods.


Digital marketing is a science! We should all have realised this by now, that in the world of online, nothing happens by chance. Every photo, video or comment that we see is the result of somebody’s social media marketing strategy.


It all began as an unintended side-effect of the global uptake of the internet. Facebook for example was never intended to be a marketing tool, Youtube was definitely a means of sharing your home made videos, and even Google was first and foremost a means to an end. In the online world a digital footprint is the term used to describe the trail, traces or “footprints” that you leave online – there are two types, a passive footprint which is created when data is collected without the owner knowing, and active digital footprints are created when personal data is released deliberately by a user for the purpose of sharing information about oneself by means of websites, social media etc.

Remember Digital Marketing is a Science!
